Blackberry Crisp
I wanted to share this recipe, because before long the berries will ripen and it makes a wonderful dessert. Ingredients needed: 1/3 cup sugar, 2 Tbs. cornstarch, 3 pints of blackberries, 1 Tbs. fresh lemon juice, 3/4 cup quick oats, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar, 4 Tbs, butter or margarine cut up into squares, 1/3 cup all purpose flour. Preparations as follows: Preheat oven to 375 degrees In large mixing bowl, stir together sugar and cornstarch until blended. Add berries and lemon juice, toss to coat. Pour berry mixture into a 21/2 quart glass or ceramic baking dish, spread evenly. In separate mixing bowl combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. With a fork work in butter until coarse crumb texture forms. Sprinkle over berry mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes. "Enjoy"
