This pulled pork recipe is perfect for family gatherings, and isn't really time consuming, considering that it slow cooks in a crock pot, with little effort involved. Ingredients needed: 4 lbs. of boneless pork shoulder blade roast (fresh pork butt), cut into 4 pieces, 1 1/2 tsp. of salt, 1 1/4 tsp. of black pepper, 2 Tbs. of Worcestershire® sauce, 2 Tbs. of mustard, 1/4 cup of tomato paste, 2 Tbs. of paprika, 1/3 cup of cider vinegar, 1/4 cup of packed brown sugar, 1 medium onion chopped, 1/2 cup of ketchup ( Heinz® brand being my favorite ), ciabatta rolls or 12 sandwich buns Preparations as follows: In a 6-quart slow-cooker stir ketchup, onion, tomato paste, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, mustard, and pepper until combined. Add pork to sauce mixture, stir to mix well. Cover slow cooker with lid and cook on low setting 8 to 10 hours until very tender. Remove pork to a large bowl. Turn up heat on slow cooker to high and cover allowing sauce to boil and thicken. While sauce is boiling pull pork into shredded pieces. ( two forks is what I use to shred pork ). After pork has been shredded, return to slow cooker and stir into sauce to combine. Cook for a while longer until heated thoroughly. Serve pork mixture while hot, on warmed sandwich buns or rolls. Goes well with a side salad or chips. Enjoy,
