This delicious recipe of marinated beef otherwise known as bulgogi was given to me by a wonderful little Korean lady who's culinary skills add an Asian flare to any dish. She is 83 years young, still very youthful. She puts many of us to shame, still doing all of her own cooking and gardening, and taking care of herself 7 days a week. I attribute her health to her lifestyle and diet. I love her and her delicious foods. "Bulgogi" Ingredients being: 1-3 lbs. beef , sliced very thin, 4 Tbsp. sugar, 6-8 Tbsp. soy sauce, a pinch of black pepper, 1 or 2 green onion(s) chopped including tops,1 clove garlic chopped, 4 Tbsp. prepared sesame seed oil, and sesame seeds, 1 Tbsp. flour ( optional ), 2 Tbsp.oil, and water ( optional ). Cover beef with sugar and sesame oil, mix well, combine soy sauce, pepper, onion(s) including tops, garlic, sesame seeds and flour, add to meat . Mix well and allow to marinate, then pan fry ( a wok works wonderfully ), or grill over and open fire, in a small amount of oil until tender and brown, do not over cook, the key is to brown it quicky to keep it tender. This meat is delicious served with rice. Enjoy.
