This recipe is a must have for chocolate lovers who bake a lot! Ingredients needed: 2 oz. of unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled, 3-3/4 cups of Confectionery sugar, 1/2 cup of butter or margarine, softened, 3-4 Tbs. of milk, 1 tsp. of vanilla. Preparations as follows: Melt chocolate over medium heat in a medium sized sauce pan, set aside to cool. In a large mixing bowl combine, confectionery sugar, butter, vanilla, and milk. Blend with mixer until creamy. Add cooled chocolate, and beat until mixed well ( add more milk until frosting is the desired spreading consistency, depending upon one's own preferences ). Makes enough frosting to fill and frost a 2 layer round cake, a 19x9x2-inch sheet cake or 2-dozen cupcakes Enjoy.
